CHAPTER FOUR

Rowland

Milo parks outside her apartment.

My palms are sweaty and my heart is trembling in my chest.

I haven’t felt like this since…well, I haven’t felt like this since ever.

“Milo, are you sure about this? Maybe we’ve made a mistake by coming here. She’s a grown woman, and she knows what she's doing. If we act on what we’ve seen…I don’t want this to be a reason for her hating me.”

And she would hate me. Fuck, how she’d hate me.

Why didn’t I just come clean and tell Milo that I was the one who dug out her underwear from my laundry basket? Why couldn’t I just admit it?

Sick.

Sick.

Sick.

And now he thinks it's my daughter who’s the sick one.

It’s me! I want to scream. I’m the one who planted her underwear in my bedroom!

What kind of father was I for doing something as sick as that?

And now my brother…he wants to save her. He wants to turn her fantasy into a reality because of the lies I’ve spewed.

This isn’t right of us.

“Relax, Rowland. If she wasn’t interested in this, she wouldn’t have ever catered her content around Daddy and Uncle kink. Besides, she’s the one basing her captions off of daily occurrences, and she wouldn’t have left her panties lying around on your bed if she didn’t want this.”

I take some time thinking over his words.

Would she really hate us for it?

I can’t deny that there’s some truth to Milo’s words. I just don’t know if it’s an appropriate idea to go and pursue her—what if this ends up blowing back in my face?

“Let’s go before you freak and make me drive all the way back.”

Milo says as he takes a step out from his car. He barely gives me the chance to argue with him before he locks the car after I’ve stepped out and turns, beginning to walk in the direction of her apartment.

Grumbling under my breath, I shake my head as I follow him into the building and through the security doors, ready to enter the lift.

“I don’t know what we’re doing here, Milo.”

Just as the lift reaches us, he takes a step backwards as he pats his jeans.

“Shit. I’ve left my phone in my car. Let me go grab it and I’ll meet you in her apartment in a minute.”

I take a step into the lift though every muscle in my body is telling me not to.

Is this a good idea?

It makes no difference now–the doors to the lift close as the lift goes to the top floor where Allura stays.

It only takes a few seconds to reach her floor. As the doors open and I step out, I frown at what I see.

“What the fuck?”

I mutter under my breath as I spot some guy sitting in front of her door. She’s the only one who lives on the floor so seeing him here is definitely a shock.

Walking straight up to him, I wait for him to lift his head and meet my eyes.

“Who the fuck are you?”

I ask him as he smiles lazily at me and drags his eyes across the length of my body.
